GoChatHub is free and open source (MIT), and it stays that way. If you would rather not install and look after the server yourself, you can hire us to do it. The server runs on your infrastructure and your data never leaves it.
Free community support
Docs, the install guide and GitHub issues are free and answered on a best-effort basis, with no response-time promise.
Installation
$750, fixed price. We install GoChatHub on a server you own and hand it over working:
- check the server size and the setup you need
- run the installer, with TLS and DNS guidance for your proxy
- configure email, push notifications and attachment storage
- set up backups and prove them with a tested restore
- apply a hardening checklist
- hand over a short runbook for your team
Free with a 6-month care plan. Sign up for Essential or Standard for six months and the installation fee is waived. If you cancel earlier, the $750 becomes due, reduced by one-sixth for each month you completed.
Migrating from Rocket.Chat
From $2,000, quoted after a free scoping call. We move your users, rooms, messages, attachments and avatars from a Rocket.Chat backup, verify the result with you, and run a final catch-up import at cutover so nothing is lost. Your people keep their passwords. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts. The price depends on the size of your archive and the amount of attachments. Migration is always paid and is not covered by the free-installation offer.

Hours do not roll over. Extra work beyond your plan’s hours is billed at the pay-as-you-go rate below.
Pay as you go
$175 per hour, 2-hour minimum. For one-off fixes, upgrades or questions, with no plan and no commitment.
When we work
All support is by email on business days. We do not offer 24/7 or on-call cover, and we say so up front so you can plan for it: every installation ends with a tested restore and a written runbook, so your team is never stuck waiting on us.
What is not included
- your hosting, domain and third-party service costs (VPS, DNS, email delivery)
- custom features and integrations (quoted separately)
- recovering data that was never backed up
- outages at your host or other providers
What we need from you
A server you own (a VPS or your own hardware), control of your domain’s DNS, and time-limited SSH access that we remove when the work is done. We do not keep copies of your data.
Terms
Each engagement starts with a written scope and price. Care plans are month-to-month. Invoices are due within 14 days, and care plans are billed monthly in advance. The full Terms and Privacy policy apply.
